Despite announcing a groundbreaking expansion to the Spectrum Center, she stressed the need for community support, as small businesses often cannot compete with large corporations’ financial resources.
The council further discussed ways to bolster the small business sector, acknowledging reports that call for more resources and support to offset mounting operational challenges.
Animal welfare also featured prominently, with Mahendra Raththor proposing new microcenters throughout Charlotte to aid rescued animals and engage volunteers, especially children and seniors.
